AIN'T TOO PROUD

I was visiting NY for my birthday. I saw this play and was so pleased. I can't wait until it hits Chicago. I was traveling back to see the Michael Jackson and Tina Turner story. That won't be happening. I love me some Temptations. So glad you brought that play to my front door. Thanks in advance

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS

THE TEMPTATIONS

Great performances by all, especially by the tenor and the SUPREME ladies. Dancing was terrific, too. I loved hearing the story of the 24 members of the Temptations through the years. Often laughed along with the lines and plays on words.

Amazing performance and music! One of the best performances I've ever experienced. Love that their journey was explained and we didn't have to guess what was occurring. Buy the tickets!

AIN’T TOO PROUD!!!

BRAVO! Highly energized, fast- paced, talented and gifted performers who brought back so many musical memories. The well placed narratives made it easy and informative to follow the Temptations story. Great seats!! A well spent evening of entertainment. Congrats to the Fabulous Fox for bringing to St. Louis such a spectacular show.

AN ENGAGING PERFORMANCE

The story line kept us on the edge of our seats whereas each singer played and sang a unique role. Ver much enjoyed the evening.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

I’m one of the many Los Angeles to Austin transplants, and after hearing from my LA friends about how great this show was, I was thrilled to see that Austin was on the tour. I immediately purchased tickets and am so glad I did. The performance at Bass Hall last night took me down memory lane, as I’ve been a huge fan of the Temps from the beginning, but I still learned some trivia I’d never known (Tammy Turrell and David Ruffin were an item?), but the music, the dancing and the sets stole the show. So much talent and energy! And no, it wasn’t “just my imagination.” They paid great homage to the real deal. Now I can’t stop listening to my Temps playlist and longing for more.

THE BEST OF MOTOWN

I've seen Ain't Too Proud twice--first in NYC and also last year in Detroit. This year I have four tickets to enjoy it with friends who will be wowed by the superb singing, dancing and storyline. It's one of my top 5 musical productions that I've ever seen. It's quintessential Motown at its best!

5.0 star rating Sandra Decker from Tucson, Arizona

AIN’T TOO PROUD

By far one of the best shows! This is a must see. The dancing and the singing and the talent you will see in this show is phenomenal. So much talent and all brought together in this show. Loved our seats in row L. A great story of the group goes along with all the dancing and singing. We have a new appreciation for their music after seeing this show!

5.0 star rating Judith from Toronto, Ontario

FANTASTIC MUCH BETTER THAN THE SIX

I saw the six then I saw ain't too proud. There is no comparison. The six can't hold a candle to the temptations show. The six has good singing, but there is no story line and the show is flat and boring. The temptations show on the other hand, told a beautiful story, with superb singing, dancing and music. I was emotionally engaged totally from the beginning to the end in the temptations show. On a scale of 1-10, ain't too proud is a 9.5, and the six us a 6. If you have to pick one of the two, pick ain't too proud.

WINTER EVAPORATES WITH THE HIGH ENERGY GLOW OF THIS PERFORMANCE

First concert I saw at the age of 14 was The Temptations at The Valley Forge Music Fair and the feeling was back in full force at this performance. I read the book, saw the TV mini series, but the theater performance fleshes out the story with more humor than the other renderings of their story. I can’t give enough praise to the entire cast, some of whom have been with the show before and others who have not. The strength and purity of their voices is stunning. They put so much spot on effort into the songs and fresh choreography of The Temps style and sound you easily believe you are watching actual members of the group. They really do take you there. You will cry, there are many well played poignant reminders of the prices they all paid for their success yet you are left with great positivity and will, without a doubt, be listening to a lot of Temptations deep cuts after going to the show. See it! Maybe even twice.

AMAZING

We did see this in NYC a few years ago and jumped at the opportunity to see in again. Such a wonderful company. The music is amazing but the story behind one of the greats groups around is moving. Highly recommend this musical.

5.0 star rating Theater Fan from Washington, District of Columbia

FABULOUS SHOW

What a great show. The "Temps" had people dancing, singing, and clapping in their seats. The music and choreography were fabulous. And I learned a lot about the Temptations history. 5 stars for sure!

4.0 star rating Tim from Chicago

GREAT SHOW, AUDIO NEEDS WORK

I saw this play in New York and now the touring version and while we enjoyed ourselves and the actors were great, the sound for the touring edition is not quite up to the same quality as it was on Broadway.

4.0 star rating Rich O from Columbus, Ohio

AIN'T TOO PROUD

The spectacular energy from the entire cast made this evening a gem. Story line of life and historic events woven into entertainment with the many great tunes and lyrics. The ensemble was terrific.

3.0 star rating Saundi from Denver, Colorado

NOT PROUD ENOUGH

As Black womanly who saw the original Temps at the Apollo, I found this production lacking in soul. Lots of energy to cover up a performance that tried to hard to Get Ready. Too much emphasis placed in the Temps personal struggles with drugs and racism. The Temps should be elevated and celebrated not a Ball of Confusion

2.0 star rating Karen Taylor from West Palm Beach, Florida

NOT BROADWAY

I saw this show on Broadway, it was fabulous! You can not compare. I was disappointed with this one.

2.0 star rating Tiffany M from San Jose, California

AMAZING OPENING

The beginning was amazing fun and upbeat. Unfortunately as the show progressed the music sounded more like screaming and nails on a chalkboard. As a result at intermission we left. Save your money and time. There are many better shows out there. In was really disappointed and was looking forward to the show .
