Opera's most infamous seducer gets his comeuppance in Mozart's masterpiece black comedy, presented by the Gulf Coast Opera in this brand-new, full-scale production, taking to stages in spring 2023. Considered one of the greatest operas of all time: "a work without blemish, of uninterrupted perfection" (Charles Gounod), enjoy the story of the outrageous nobleman as he uses and abuses his way through the Kingdom - until he finally meets his match!

Starring Luis Orozco as the titular casanova, this exciting new staging features the Naples Philharmonic, with Jorge Parrodi conducting. 

What is the story?

Accompanied by his long-suffering servant Leporello, infamous philanderer Don Giovanni is drawn into a whirlwind of lust and revenge of his own making when his promiscuous and arrogant actions meet their match. After wronging the likes of the feisty Donna Elvira, the woeful Donna Anna (whose father he kills in a duel), and the impressionable Zerlina, his day of reckoning approaches when the ghost of his victim seeks revenge. Don Giovanni has a multitude of memorable musical moments including the imposing Overture, the Catalogue Aria, the Champagne Aria and the Dalla Sua Pace Aria.
